Saturday 2nd May saw a good turn-out of people getting off the train at Causeland for our Wild Food Walk.  There were so many useful plants growing actually in the grounds of the station that it took more than half an hour to get moving.  As there were so many plants and so much information it was difficult to keep up with it all. So here is a list of most of the plants we met. Hopefully we can get a separate page set up with pictures and how to use the plants.

St John's Wort, Meadowsweet, Nettle, Dandelion, Pink Purslane, Cleavers, Burdock, Valerian, Wild strawberry, Hogweed, Garlic Mustard / Jack-in-the-Hedge, Sorrell, Bittercress, Ground Elder, Lamb's Lettuce, Ramson/ Wild Garlic, Navelwort, Blackthorn / Sloe, Ground Ivy, Elder, Primrose, Bramble (tips), Yarrow, Thistle.

Some plants to avoid:

Hemlock, Water Dropwort, Dog mercury, Foxglove
